The 4.5mm SPP-1M, a marine pistol for combat frogmen, is one of who knows how many pieces of BSC weaponry the Russians created over 30 years ago, and that Americans even with classified clearance didn't find out about until manufacturer Tsniitochmash unveiled it publicly in 1993.

Today, it is even available for public purchase in Russia, though precise means of acquisition remain unclear.

Under water, the SPP-1M has a bullseye range of:

• 55 feet at a 16-foot depth.
• 36 feet at a 65-foot depth.
• 20 feet at a 131-foot depth

The acquisition part is easy, the location it stays in is the problem.

Thanks to good Ol Bill.....The 1996 VRA (Voluntary Restraint Agreement) between the USA and Russian Federation does not list that firearm as one that can be imported into the USA.
