40x in 17HMR?

I was wondering if anyone had done one yet and what the results were? Or for the money, would I be better off just buying an anschutz?

Never had this done. But that would be a new barrel replacement threaded for the 40X, chambered and extractor cuts. Can do a cone type cut to replace the extractor cuts, but the smith has to know what he's doing.

Unless your doing something special, I would go anschutz and sell the 40X.

I want to build one. I was going to wait for the Stiller action and do it in a repeater. Great Varmint gun / trainer. The only issue with target shooting is that they don't make match 17 HMR. Maybe some day...
