I have an 8lb jub of titegroup and am wanting to try it for 45acp loads. I've read where some people use this so figured I'd check here. I have a really good load with VVn340 for my trp and 230 fmj's but that powder is extinct now lol.

Anyways, I just bought a HK45CT and tried some of the vvn340 loads and they shot well. I'm wanting to try a load with some Hornady 185 HAP and titegroup for both pistols...preferably the HK.

So, I dont have the bullets yet but have anything else. Looking for a good jacketed bullet load (any manufacturer, but planned for 185HAP) for the HK and TRP using titegroup.

Appreciate any advice

Alan

Hey, in Pa. I got my son an HK and did some load tests. It liked 5.8 grains Titegroup behind a 185 Ranier Plated HP.COL-1.225. I shoot those or Berry's plated, to save some cash. OK, in MOST ranges. Some indoor range officers get persnickity. That jug of yours will last long time! About 10,000 bullets

About 4.5-5.0grs under a 200gr bullet. It's very fine powder and very fast burning. It's going to leave a lot of empty space. Be careful of a double charge.

IME it smokes a lot with Cast Lead Lubed bullets. My guess is it burns hot.

I shoot 4.6 out of my fnx 45 and fnx45T with TG at 1.230 and get about 800 fps. I use 230 grain fmj xtreme bullets. Easy shooting and POA on both those guns. Watch out for double charges! I use a dillon powder check for that.
