45 ACP Loading

Please post your load(s) for your gun(s) and any other comments you'd like to mention.

I would like to reload practice and self-defense ammo.

Also, what dies do you prefer? I'm looking at going down the Dillon 550 path.

Dillon dies. 231 powder. Cast lead lubricated bullets for practice. Corbon 185 factory loads for self defense.

I've had good luck with 4.8 of bulls eye with a 230RN. WST is really nice too, I forget the charge of hand. Go to the 1911 forum or Brian Enos forum. Tons of info for loading hand guns.

Hornady 200 gr C/T work very well for me, as well as the 230 gr flat nose encapsulated. Unique powder for both.

Rainier 230rn with 5.0 of hp38. Dillon 650.
Also tried 200swc and 230rn billy bullets, cheaper but less accurate, and dirty.
