Gunsmithing 458 socom twist/length question

Will be installing it on a bolt action build... what length barrel for the best velocity/performance/weight... and what twist is reccomended for 250 grain to 300 grain hunting bullets.

this was in the reloading forum but i was getting more responces about other calibers so i reposted it here in the gunsmithing forum hoping to get 458 socom specific answers... thanks in advance.

I use a 14 twist and a 16" barrel. I typically use much heavier bullets. Most of the load data out there is for a 16 inch barrel.
