Checking out some different ammo today in my B14r. Very pleased with the eley club did well at 100 yards also. My buddy was with me shooting his cz and it shot the club well also. Anyone know of another ammo I should try?

Both of my B14R's like Eley Club, SK Biathlon, Sk Long Range. SK Long Range shoots best out to 400 yds.

I've been trying to find some sk long range as well as their standard plus and no luck recently. I'm sure some will pop up soon.

When I had my Bergara B14R, mine loved SK standard and rifle match the best. Also shot RWS rifle match well. I think the Bergara is less ammo picky than most precision 22s.

Sk standard yellow box is the best out of my rifle. Quite a few are sexy out to 100-130 but after that the sk stays the most consistent. Don’t test only to 100 or you won’t see real results. In my experience the 22lr ammo falls apart in accuracy after that brand to brand.

My carbon model loves SK rifle match. This was 5 shots @ 50m.

    Groups? Bah! Humbug!

If'n we be discussing accuracy with rimfire,
let's see what happens when you have to hit what ya' aim at.
What happens when ya' shoot for score at 50, 100 or 200 yards?
Now that'd be a post worth discussing, eh? :D

    Say, something like this...

You mean like this. 100yd Rimfire F-Class, winds weren’t real strong but they’re always switchy at this club.

You got it Doc...can you keep it in the 10 ring?
Or do you have a tendency to get y'er adze kicked by wind and mv spread? Like me? ;)

There’s always going to one with a ES pop it’s head up now and then but wind calls are my biggest reason for missing. Wither it be PRS22/NRL22 or prone matches. I’ve got a bad habit of zoning in on the target and not seeing/feeling the wind change as I’m shooting. Constant wind is easy to shoot in, it’s the 3-5mph change that’ll get you. Prone matches you’ve got more time to watch feel for the ebb and flow of the wind. Not so much in the other matches.

The reason I was even doing this was to compete in my first nrl match this weekend up in stafford VA. If i do decent i'll post my results if not well... Kidding I will report back. Being as I don't know what I don't know until I do it, I will gladly take any tips you guys may have. The one thing I know is from a 50 yd zero i go up six minutes for 100 yard.

Tested out various ammo on a stormy gusty day, 6-10MPH switchy tail wind.

When chambered, all cartridges left an imprint of the rifling. All ejected without being stuck in the chamber except CCI SV. The CCI SV also shot decent out to 200yds but I had to dial in an aaditional .3 Mils of elevation.

Winds picked up (or I was getting frazzled from the number of shots) but it wasn’t Center-X’s best showing. It loved the SK Rifle Match though.

All targets shot from a bench with bipod and rear bag at 50yds.

    YMMV, happy shooting
