Now that I've have one of these bad boys, does anyone know anything about reloading the cartridges? Your advise will be greatly appreciated, especially by my wallet.

Re: .500 Nitro Express

A Square carries the brass as well as loaded rounds. The latest Barnes reloading manual #4 has load data for their 570 gr. TSX and banded solids. Either should handle anything from prarie dogs to zombies!

Hope this helps.

I have been reloading .500 NE for about 8 years. What do you want to know? I have loaded to regulation for 3 doubles in .500 NE.

vman, I have never shot a .500 Nitro Express, but I have fired a
.577 Tyrannosaur, which fires a 750 grain bullet at 2460 fps. The scope was mounted in the scout scope position. It is not retina-detaching if held properly, but if held incorrectly, it will give you one hell of a wallop.
