I had just recieved my 6.5 Grendel (AR Setup) bolt with the 18" Competition Deluxe fluted barrel from Sabre Defense and I put the bolt in my DPMS bolt carrrier and noticed the bolt was a little bit tight in the carrier, it seems the gas rings is whats giving it that feeling. It still turns moves and everything its not like its crazy tight but i never had a bolt like that (I have 4 AR builds 2-.223:1-6.8SPC:1-6.5 Grendel)). Will it loosen up over time. I would think the better the gas seal the better but maybe not. Plus when i put it in it wasnt oiled, i just wanted to see the fit, So im sure it will be a little looser when i oil it too. Its not really a problem but I was just wondering if this is normal. Im sure if you bought a new set of gas rings for any AR bolt it would feel the same way. Am i good to go?
