Getting a 6 CM barrel spun now. I have a ton of 6.5 cm hornady and federal brass. If I get the appropriate neck bushing for my 6.5 cm Redding Type S die, can I just neck size using the 6.5 brass and die, then seat the bullets also using my forster micro seater 6.5 die? Any trimming going to need to be done or anything? It would be nice being able to use all my 6.5 CM dies and brass for the new 6 cm barrel. Plan on using the 115 coated DTacs. Any help will be appreciated.

PS. When it comes time to body size, my 6.5 CM redding type S body die does not have an expander ball so I wont have to worry about that messing up the neck size.

I was in a similar boat recently. My research yielded the following:
    1. Most recommend using a non-bushing FL die to do the initial neck down to 6mm.
    2. You can use a bushing die for the neck-down, but if you do, it's best to do it in 2 stages. First to 25 cal, then to 6mm.

I opted to buy a cheap ($40) Hornady Full length die for the initial neck-down, then I run it through my Redding Type S with .269 bushing.

I haven't actually seated any yet, but they look and measure good. I did notice that they grew about .004 to .006 upon initial neck-down, which I expected, so I'm trimming them too. This is with virgin Lapua 6.5 Creed brass.
