6.5 CM Srp or Lrp

I’m sure this has been discussed as nauseum but I was unable to locate it. Bought a 6.5 CM for my son and curious what everyone opinion on primer size was. The action is not bushed and has a standard firing pin.

I run both.

My gun has unbrushed bolt & std pin

I have to run milspec ( cci41 ) primers when running SP brass because I will occasionally pierce softer primers.

That was my interpretation but wanted to confirm before I order some Lapua or Alpha
