6.5 creedmoor 129gr hornady sst super performance

Re: 6.5 creedmoor 129gr hornady sst super performance

I have not shot any loads that have used SP powder.

In gun rags and forums, all the hype associated with the SP powder indicates that accuracy is not on the real world results list. And match accuracy is not even to be mentioned.

There's more wrong than right (at this time, IMNSHO) in using SP in loads for the AR-10 style family of rifles. I'll stick with the powders that are winning matches and are appropriate for use in my AR-10s.

Best to you.

EDIT: They say it fits in the SAAMI specs for whatever.

I have shot the 178 grain 308 out of an AE. It preformed ok and did not give me pressure signs. My gun likes FGMM on the accuracy side but the 178 were decent.

I shot 40 rounds of this stuff at the range today. I wasn't impressed with the accuracy on it. I didnt see any real pressure signs with it I think I will just pick up 140 GR A-Max bullets monday and load up to the specs hornady recommends for that load and see what happens.
