I have a new 6.5 Creedmoor in the works and need to start planning on cartridge components. I found an older thread from the first of they year that calls for info on 6.5mm bullets.

Now that we’ve reached the end of the year, I wonder if opinions have changed. I’ve dug through the options and I’ve narrowed it down between Berger hybrid and Hornady ELDM. I see a lot of good things on both. And I have to admit that the price benefit of the Hornady bullets is attractive. Has anyone moved from Berger to Hornady? If so, did you notice any sacrifice in accuracy?

I've not used berger. The 140 hornady shoots well and most importantly, is always easy to find in stock. I don't think that's always been the case with berger. JMHO

I use Berger and Hornady all most exclusively and have for years with the exception of Nosler accubond bullets that I really like for a hunting bullet.
Hornady AMAX and ELDM have been very consistent and Accurate for me and even more so if they are sorted by weight and bearing surface but I believe that holds true for any make of bullet.

I used to shoot hybrids till the eldm’s came out.

In general I get as good or better accuracy with the hornandy but I neve had a hybrid or VLD go wonky in flight or blow up and I have had a few varieties of the eldm’s do that.

I love the Accubond LR bullets for the 6.5 Grendel that I hunt pigs with. Re: sorting - Understood.

Good to know.
