I had been looking and waiting and waiting for someone to get a 6.5 Grendel Barrel In Stock (Alexander Arms,Satern,Sabre Defense etc.) I finally seen a Sabre Defense 18" Mid-Weight
1-7 1/2 Twist Rate, Fluted,Barrel Ext, W/ Front Sight and Gill Brake also a Matching Bolt assembly (pricy @ $629.00 but Sabres wedsite listed the same price for the same bbl) On all of Sabres barrels I seen on their site included M4 Feed ramp
extensions (included the one I bought) but on Midway USAs Website, were i bought it, it did not say "M4 Ramps" it just said included bbl extension now im thinking it comes with M4 ramps cuz on Sabres website it does. Has anyone bought one? Had good accuracy? I am going to change the gas block to a Low Profile and slap a Larue 13.2" Rail on it. The only thing I dont like is that it is setup for Mid-length gas system, I would have rather had a rifle length setup.
This might be a stupid question but here it goes, Does it matter that I have a A2 buttstock assy w/ rifle buffer (reason i got it cuz i put the Magpul PRS stock on it) but it has a mid-length gas system? Problems? Shortstroke? What would be better in that setup, a full-auto bolt carrier or a Semi-auto carrier? ( i have both extra) or doesnt it matter.
Even if the barrel did not come with M4 ramps and my Bravo Co. upper that does have them, I could still set it up with no problems. (but with a bbl w/ m4 ramps and a upper that didnt, No-Go.)

Re: 6.5 Grendel Barrel purchase

I forgot to ask also, Does anyone know the inside barrel diameter for that barrel? (the one i mentioned on the qestion up above)
I emailed Sabre D. but thought maybe I might get a quicker response on here.

Thanks

Re: 6.5 Grendel Barrel purchase

I think it's a .750 diameter for the gas block but don't stake a life on it.Rifle buffer or carbine buffer has nothing to do with gas system, only stock.( rifle is full length, carbine is for collapsible stocks)Keep the rifle buffer and even use the stock weight buffer for the Grendel.Either bolt carrier is fine, and as far as M4 ramps it won't matter, just remember: M4 cuts in receiver MUST have cuts in barrel. No M4 cuts in receiver can use either style barrel. You could even grind them out by hand with a dremel if you're careful.
