6.5 Prc loads 1/7 twist

I have a 1/7 twist 6.5 prc. ( will get barrel length later) I live and shoot in MT so around 3500 to 5000 ft. I am going to start reloading and am looking for a recipe and bullet weight that will work. I have read some threads about bullets exploding. What grain should I be using?

For hunting or target shooting?

Loading to mag length or does not matter? If for mag, what's your maximum mag length?
