6.5 Remington Mag for LR

Anyone have any experience or thoughts on the 6.5 Rem Mag for long range shooting? There is alot of talk on the 6.5 Creedmoor the 260 and 6.5x 284 Looks like it would be in the running.

Running a 6.5 bullet on top of that kind of powder keg will burn barrel pretty fast.

Its also a belted case, although most don't really fret at that anymore.

The 6.5x284 runs a little faster from the data I can find so it shouldn't any worse barrel burner than the 6.5x284 should it?

Not worse then the 6.5x284 but definitely in the neighborhood.

The case capacity of the 6.5RemMag is very close to the 6.5-284Win in a magnum breechface. Should give similar performance and barrel life. It really was ahead of its time.

Makes it easier with the short case to run on a SA. Any thoughts on feeding it out of a DM Think an Ai mag would work or would the Seekins Short mag Magazines work better?
