There will be some difference. Usually the 7.62 suppressors have a lot more volume in the suppressor so it makes up for the bigger bore diameter. It shouldn't be that much louder though.
I am going to be running a 6.8 can on my .260 once it gets here from the gunsmith.
I cant tell the differnce between .260 and .308 in my AAC 7.62-sd but if you want a dedicated can AAC makes the 6.8-sd. The muzzle brake mount is nice to
If you're talking .260 vs .308, the gas volume is almost identical- maybe 42 vs 46 grains powder, less difference for 'AI' or x284. Team Thunderbeast all use our 30 cal and it works great
I'm having my Fn A1A re-barreled to a 6.5 x 47 L. (I've wanted one since I read Zac's Articles) So it'll have less powder still. I also wouldn't mind it to be used for my 223 AR as well, and possibly an AR upper in 7mm whisper or 300 whisper. Would the 6.8 be a lighter weight?
I think my girlfriend is more excited about me getting a suppressor than I am...I think she's hoping it will "silence" all the talking I do about getting one.
