Suppressors 6.5 suppressor?

Re: 6.5 suppressor?

There will be some difference. Usually the 7.62 suppressors have a lot more volume in the suppressor so it makes up for the bigger bore diameter. It shouldn't be that much louder though.

I am going to be running a 6.8 can on my .260 once it gets here from the gunsmith.

Re: 6.5 suppressor?

I'm looking at building a 300 whisper for my AR, so it would be nice to run the same can. Thanks for your input.

Re: 6.5 suppressor?

I might try to build a 7mm whisper upper and get a 6.8 suppressor. Sound like a good plan?

Re: 6.5 suppressor?

ya could use 6.8SPC CAN
I will be using a GEMTECH HVT 30 cal on my x47

Re: 6.5 suppressor?

I run my Thunder Beast 30P-1 on a 260 and 7wsm more than on my 308. It sounds great on all of them.

Re: 6.5 suppressor?

Same here I run a Thunder Beast can on all my bolt guns 30 call and under , a 308 , 6.5 and 223 . Works on all of them .

Re: 6.5 suppressor?

If you're talking .260 vs .308, the gas volume is almost identical- maybe 42 vs 46 grains powder, less difference for 'AI' or x284. Team Thunderbeast all use our 30 cal and it works great

Re: 6.5 suppressor?

I'm having my Fn A1A re-barreled to a 6.5 x 47 L. (I've wanted one since I read Zac's Articles) So it'll have less powder still. I also wouldn't mind it to be used for my 223 AR as well, and possibly an AR upper in 7mm whisper or 300 whisper. Would the 6.8 be a lighter weight?

Re: 6.5 suppressor?

I think my girlfriend is more excited about me getting a suppressor than I am...I think she's hoping it will "silence" all the talking I do about getting one.
