Just got a precision rifle in 6.5x47 lapua. Would appreciate any help in starting loads for a beginner. Thanks in advance for any help.

More information. Do you have or do you plan to use a certain bullet? Powder?

Looking at 123 gr eld. I am a beginner to long range shooting. I’m retired and found the sport a blast. Thanks

My go to test load is a 123 Lapua scenar jumped .020, with 36gr of Varget to Pretty much guaranteed to shoot. I’d expect the same out of the ELD.

Thanks, I have Varget, so I’ll start there! Just traded for the rifles and I’m fired up to get started.

Check out the 6.5x47L load data thread in the Reloading Depot forum. All the load data you could want. Dont just copy someones load. Work up properly and find the Node for your rifle
