6.5CM Velocity question

I was wondering what kind of velocities people are getting from a 24" barrel with 140gr class bullets with the 6.5 Creedmoor round. Accuracy node velocities and max. load velocities are what I'm looking for. Also, what temperature was it when you got your speed results.

I’m sure you’ll get a bunch of different responders here but this from my experience.

handloading a 140 class bullet with 41.5gr of H4350 yields me 2700-2750fps using Hornady brass. I’ve shot this load from a lot of rifles and barrels, it just works for me. That 2700-2750 is 60-70*F

Any Idea how many grains of water Hornady brass holds?

That's a good range
I concur
A safe range that won’t give you issues in hot or wet conditions.

I run Berger 140 Hybrids out of my 26" Bartlein with 41.0gr of H4350, Hornady brass and CCI 200 LRP, gets a really consistent 2750 fps with sub 0.5MOA accuracy. COAL is ~2.81".

Not sure on water volume - just use it cause it was cheap and available.
I was just trying to compare the volume to my Lapua 6.5CM cases which hold 52.3gr of water compared to my PMC 308 brass that I converted that holds 50.7gr of water.
I need to load a whole grain more IMR 4166in the Lapua case to get the same velocity as the PMC.

I just got my hands on an 8Lb jug of H4350 so load development will start over after the holidays.

I’m running 41.8 Gr H4350, 140 ELD’s, Cci 450’s and Lapua brass out of a 26” shilen SSM bbl and getting 2,822 verified by labradar.....

My wife’s 22” Rem 5R rifling, same bullet w/ 41.6 Gr H4350 and CCI 450 is at 2,688 verified by labradar....

There is an entire threaded dedicated to just 6.5 Creedmoor load data.

It used to be in the reloading forums, but I'm not sure where that is now.

A search should find it fairly easy.

Using Hornady 6.5 CM 140 gr ELD match I get an average muzzle velocity of 2,689 fps in a 24" barrel. Muzzle velocity was verified using a Magnetospeed Sporter
