6.5Creed jump to rifling

Depends on the bullets. 140 Berger Hybrids seem to like 0.010-0.020" of jump. The RDF's don't shoot at any jump. I haven't reloaded Hornady ELD-M's, but factory stuff shot great through my previous chambers, though I'm not sure what the jump was, but I believe the ELD-M'S also like around 0.010-0.020" jump. Lapua Scenars are supposed to be incredibly jump tolerant.

@Rob01 can help with ELD-M jump.

The creedmoor has no specific preference with regard to jump in my experience, using match bullets. It’s projectile specific if anything. I shoot 140 and 147 eld’s exclusively and usually at .020 jump. I’ve tested to .050 jump, and they shoot the same.

The A-max liked .025-.030 and I have maintained that with the ELD's with results good enough not to bother testing other depths.

I also shoot the 140 eld with .020-.030 jump

The 140 Berger hybrid jumps .050 or so in my chamber to fit in mag but still shot pretty good

keep in mind your barrel will wear, my 6.5cm liked .020 jump but not more than .030. between .030 and .050 accuracy was shit. so as my barrel life came to an end i had to chase the lands. Just measure before you load.

I have always used berger hybrids and jumped them .020 ish. However, recently Mark Gordon (SAC) mentioned some whizz bang device of his was showing that .055-.075 was the best. I decided to test it out and while the accuracy was not any better than .020, both were averaging under .375” for 4 five shot groups, the SD’s were almost half of the .020 loads. I’ll be jumping the .065 for this barrel.

130 or 140 hybrids?

I've usually found the 140 ELM-M's shot well at .0150 - .020 off. I have also heard of them doing well at .065 off but haven't yet tried that.

I shot a seating depth test yesterday with the 147 ELD. Started with a jump of .073" and loaded (#1) .010 longer to (#6) .023" of jump... I'd say these bullets are very forgiving. #6 showed a shift as I approached the lands. Also note the wind went from calm for groups 1 & 2 and was blowing a bit by the time I finished. I didn't try to correct for any of it.
