I just had a rifle chambered in 6.5X47. The gunsmith said he used a .177 freebore. I was measuring for base to o-give with Berger 130 HLVD tonight and they seem to sit pretty deep in the case. I see quite a few guys are using 41.5 H4350 with this bullet. Just loading 40gr is giving me quite a bit of crunch. Should I take it back and get him to go a bit deeper on this? My loaded rounds right now are sitting at about 2.69” COAL which is .020” off the lands for me.

Thanks, I dropped it back off today and he is going to ream it a bit deeper to give me a little more clearance in case I want to run the 140’s as well.
