Just a few range sessions into a new 6.5x47 myself. Which powder and bullet do you intend on using?
With the 123 scenar about.010" from the lands I started with 38.5 gr H4350 and 36.5 RL15.

I just started my load development for my 6.5x47 two days ago. I found articles on 6mmBR.com.
I started with H4350, 41.0 with a 123 Scenar. Yeilds ~2950fps, dead nuts accuracy. That was the starting point, and worked up to 42.5gr, accuracy dropped off, with each increment, and got up to 3075fps, no pressure signs, but accuracy fell off big time.
I settled with the first load, besides the 5 120 Nosler BT for sighters, and that will be the load I run. Development done. I may try some RE15, most say that is the powder for the 6.5x47, so I will give that a whirl, but wont spend much time on it if I dont get something right away. OAL for my rifle, cut with the PTG reamer for the 120-123gr bullets, was 2.740, that was not measured from the ogive, measured just with calipers for the OAL, fyi.
Edited to note: the actual OAL to the land was 2.743, I seated .003 off the lands.

Start with either 123 or 139 scenar and 35 grains of RL 15 and go up by 1/2 grain increments.

Thanks guys, I'm going to be using 123 scenars and RL 15. I appreciate the info! Should get some range time next week. Here is the rifle.

okay, I got it to the range for the first time this week with 1 box of factory Lapua 108 Scenars and also some rounds that I loaded with 37.5 g of RL-15 and 123 scenars.
I shot it at 300 yards and at 500 yards. The rifle was great at both distances. It was about 90 degrees F and muggy! GA summers are great....
According to JMB here is what I got..I would appreciate some feedback. Let me know if you data is close.
