So, been making my 6 comp match brass using the false shoulder method with lapua 243 brass. I was thinking of trying to do this same method only starting with 260 rem brass, I figured one less step in sizing up to 6.5 then back down with a bushing woukd be less work on the brass. Since the 243, and 260 look extremely similar it should work, there does seem to be a slight difference on the neck shoulder junction location.

You would lose 0.010" of length with the 260 cases which is something to think about with the short neck of the 6CM.

Have you looked at swapping to a 25 cal expander if you're worried about overworking the brass? You could still make the false shoulder with less expansion.

It wasn't the entire goal, with the over working as much as it was the ability to use Alpha 260 brass.
