Anyone have accurate G7 bc data. I have one of Litz's books that says .169 G7 but it is 8 years old now.

I just shot the 69 smk out to 875yds, using my velocity of 2880 and Litz's 0.169 g7 the drop was very close. Within 0.2mil. I am on the edge of transonic so I was happy to be within that spread of elevation.

.169 worked for me as well to 965yds. 3092fps in an 1:9 and a 1:8 twist .223Rem bolt-gun. IMO there are better projectiles for long range .223.

Ive been using .336 G1 at 2940 fps and it was good to 950. Seems that most bullets in this range the G1 /2 = G7 within a point or two. Not sure why, but thats a trend I've noticed for a close place to start anyway.

Totally agree there are better choices for LR .223, but for out to 600 yards they do really well with just a 16"M4 1-7 twist.

The real benefit is the 69GR just seems to shoot well in EVERYTHING. From top end barrels down to chrome lined service guns. It really is the magic pill for most guns.

In my expereince if the gun won't shoot Black Hills 69GR SMK well, then you probally need to a different barrel.
