No,I believe that the Shehane is an improved version.So if you already have 6-284 Shehane fireformed cases then a warmish 6-284 load would work for a starting load.If you are starting out with 6.5-284 brass and necking down to fireform cases,then you need to use regular 6-284 data.
I could be wrong but I think that the only difference between the Shehane cartridge is that he has it tighter at the base to keep the primer pockets from enlarging too quick. I think 3300 fps with a 115 grain is pretty optomistic. Yes it shoots flat- I owned one. At one time my buddy who was shooting a .308 and I moved our zeros from 200 yards to 300 yards. We both used the same number of clicks.
His scope had 1/4 MOA clicks - mine had 1/8 MOA clicks.
