Re: 6mm BR

I shoot the 87gr VMax out of my 6mmbr and its a tac-driver, Ive owned allot of 6mmbr 1:8 and 1:10 me personally I like the 1:10 better the 75gr to 87gr bullets seem to perform great with the case capacity of the 6mmbr.

I have a switch barrel Savage model 12 with a 6mmbr 26" Fluted McGowen barrel and also a factory fluted 223 barrel that was rechambered in a 223AI....and I would be willing to sell if your interested. 6mmbr has 325rnd threw it and the 223AI has 410rnd......only reason Im going to sell it is because I THINK I need another custom....LOL

PM me if interested

Re: 6mm BR

Shooter65 shoots a 6mmBR with a 8-twist, no turn chamber. That cartridge performs out of proportion to the amount of powder it burns. Watching him shoot his, I am VERY tempted to go that route. He's won 1000yd matches with his and did very well in a 600yd F-Class match (200-12X, 195-?, 186-?) with some pretty high winds in the 2nd/3rd relays. I think he was shooting Berger 105/108's @ ~2900fps.

Re: 6mm BR

I just had Jon Beanland build me a 6br on a stiller predator action with a shilen 10 twist barrel. this is my coyote rifle. This set up works very well. It feeds from the box very very well, and ejects the cases 2 miles!!! I am very happy with this rifle. Jon did have to shorten the box magazine up a bit, but it wasnt a major ordeal. Lee
