6mm CM

Does 6mm CM make sense for a non reloader? Looking at the cost of factory ammo and lack of variety is it even worth it to get a 6mm CM rifle if you don’t reload your own?
Asking for a friend...

There’s a decent variety, and growing. Yes, I think it makes sense.

Yep, 6 or 6.5 creed are the default performance calibers for non reloaders. 223 and 308 also, but not as ballistically capable as the 2 creedmoors.

I got a 6.5CM and a 6.5 grendel thinking of going for the trifecta haha.

I forgot about the grendel, it's got a bunch of good factory ammo. Maybe not a bunch, but what is available seems to shoot good in most grendels.

Why not start reloading? Not now of course, but when things settle down. 2008 BS got me into reloading. Only way to go. It's not about saving money for me, per se, but it is a benefit. Precision ammo tuned for your application and barrel is a game changer for reals.

It’s something am definitely considering. But like you say now is probably not the best time.

108 eldm or 105 berger factory ammo is awesome.

If you really want to dial it in, buy one of Erik Cortina’s tuners, have your muzzle cut for it, and use it to dial your factory ammo groups in tight AF.
