6TCU is a shooter!

i recently finished another 6TCU on a stainless remington short action. i has a 27" 1-14 broughton barrel in #7HV contour and is bedded in the new tactical choate. i shot three 5 shot groups this evening with 28.8gr of h322 at 2.285 with a sierra 60gr hp. the groups measured .281,.283, and .290 and averaged 3585fps. these groups were shot with a weaver t10! it may do better with a 36x scope and 2oz trigger but i built this rifle to see if the 6TCU could hang with the 6BR in a varmint rifle. i think it can. cant wait to shoot a few jacks or dogs with it. i would love to post some pics but i not quite that smart yet.

You are going to take a 2 oz trigger hunting? Seems unnecessary to me. Be careful.

the trigger is a factory remington at approximately 1 lb. i made reference to a 2oz trigger to wring a little more accuracy out of it. most all of our prarie rat rifles have 2oz triggers on them and they are as safe as any. give a dangerous person a heavy trigger and he is still dangerous. give a safe person a 2oz trigger and he can still be safe. i built this rifle to carry around in the truck for targets of opportunity so it will likely never have a 2oz on it but thanks for looking out for me anyway.
