i have to order a reamer for a customer in 6xc, what freebore would be optimal to run DTAC’s ?

i’m guessing .275” would be a zero turn neck

I'm finding most reamers are .098fb
    thanks for any help

Mine is .148 fb and no turn. According to pt&g(Kiff himself), its Tubb's reamer of choice. No gripes with it, and it does 105's and 115's just fine. The xc has a longer neck than the creedmoor, but a shorter overall case length, so it's more forgiving. No need to run a short freebore. .098 would be good for varmint bullets primarily. Let me find you my print number.

    PTG print number 42537
.273 neck (my loaded norma necks are .2705 no turn)

I have a criterion 6xc and the supplied ptg reamer print shows .275 which I was told was the recommended for no turn necks. IMG_1764.PNG
I will say that I have plenty of room for the 105 rdfs and was again told that it would work well with the 115s by northland because I wasn't sure on what exactly I was gonna run at the time. How that helps I don't know but anecdotal evidence may help?

    This is good to hear

im running into lots of .275 and most are .098fb

I found this also with 6creed, most reamers are .109, some being .068 and then some with .183fb
all ran 115’s superbly. I think it was more for overall length or mag issues.

Im gonna correct myself on my last post. If 115's are the primary diet, the .148 is great. Cheapest high bc 6mm, and I like them alot, shoddy availability though. If 105's/108's are the primary, around .100" fb would be great. Save the extra .048" for chasing if thats your thing.
