i like it, but i'm thinking it needs a 7.5" barrel (i think a KX3 on a 7.5" barrel with a 7" tube would look awesome).

i'm aware of the ballistic limitations of a 7.5" but this is an exercise in looking cool more than anything.

any advice?

Re: 7.5" AR advice

Depends what the intended purpose of the weapon is. Are you just going to the range playing or will it be used for HD other types of CQB. Either way do what you want it's your weapon make it the way you want and familiarize yourself with it.

What length barrel do you have right now, and what length gas system is it? If you go to a 7" barrel chances are you will be using a pistol length gas system.

Personally I would run a 10.5" with a carbine length gas system over a 7" with a pistol length gas system.

Cerebus,

I have a 7" SBR...and AR Pistol.

Yes its a tad loud.. But I run a Noveski Pig Hider on mine and to be honest there is NOT any muzzle flash that is noticable...

Accurracy.... well.. its pretty damn acurate... I have NEVER measured groups with it.. but it dings the 200 yard 12" steel plates at the range.

They are ALOT more accurate then people give them credit for.

And.. they are also pretty reliable as long as you build it right or buy a reputable upper.
