7.82 Patriot?

After noticing how much the 300WSM is liked, you would think the Lazzeroni 7.82 Patriot would be more popular. After talking to people who have dealt with the Lazz
cartridges, they all say the same thing, the brass isn`t very high quality. Who actually makes their brass? The Patriot isn`t exactly the 338 Lapua case shortened to 2" but it`s very similar. It`s at least 150-200fps faster than the WSM. I believe if Lazz had Norma or Lapua to make their brass, it would be more popular. It`s for sure the short action case king as far as velocity is concerned. They use that same case for a 7mm, 338 and 416.

I too looked into building one, but found out the same thing you did. It is also a barrel burner from I heard.

Early original brass was made by Mast Technologies and I think later brass was made by Hornady.

That's what I thought. I won`t build a custom gun that I can only get Hornady brass for.
