700 Action Bolt Lock on Safety?

Do all custom 700 actions leave the action unlocked when the safety is on?
Is there a way to have it locked when the safety is on?
Is there a custom action that uses a locking bolt when the safety is on?

Someone with more experience will chime in, but all modern Remington 700s have an unlocked bolt with the safety on or off. People probably didn't like having to take the safety off on a loaded rifle to open the bolt.

If I recall, there's a little notch in the old style bolt and the safety had a lever that would engage with the notch when the safety was on and then be out of the way when the safety was off.

You could get an old trigger and safety then modify a new bolt if you really wanted to.

The 3 position safty on Winchester style actions lock the bolt.

All my rifles has locking bolts.
I assume that there is not a problem with the bolt opening when carrying in field (brush, woods etc. or when you take the rifle off your back) or Remington would of fixed it.
