So I went out to shoot my 700. It was hard and I had difficulty closing and opening the bolt. Came back inside. Field stripped bolt. Clean re lubes. Now I think its even worse. Bolt opens and closes fine with empty chamber. So no action screw problems. Gun has just under 500 rounds. No issues and been a sweet shooter with a really smooth bolt for a 700. I'm thinking it's the extractor is going on the case correctly. The last time I checked was a empty case and I had to give the bolt a few hard whacks to get it open.

What's your input?

pull the ejector and entire firing pin assembly. from the bolt. Slip a round under the extractor tooth and try chambering it. If it closes smoothly then extract it and this time stick the round in the chamber (bolt still disassembled) and then close the bolt over the round.

Should tell you weather it is the extractor or ejector...its possible you have crap down in the ejector spring area and is causing this or something funky happened with the extractor. This should diagnose both. After this my guess would be something in your chamber you didnt pick up (I'm assuming you checked/cleaned the chamber).
