Good times with this bullet at 2900 in a 24" 223.
5000 rds now and no more. No more barrel or bullets.
I want to continue with the 223 and want to know what bullet and twist is a good for a replacement.
Eldm is longer. I have an 8 twist on order.

You will find that the 75gr ELDM in a 1 in 8" twist barrel will work very well. In my experience they do prefer a minimal jump though of 0.010" to 0.005"

I will second the 75 eldm.
I have a 16" 7 twist pushing them 2780 fps but I have taken it out to 1k and just this past weekend I had a newer shooter going past 100 yards for his first time ever and he hit 800 yards 4 out of 5 times.
Its not the worlds most consistent benchrest bullet and its not the worlds greatest but it is a solid performer by every metric and it is cheap.

I was in the exact same boat as you not long ago. Try the 75 eld. They have a little longer bullet bto, but just mess with it a little. They will shoot good. Had hits at 1008 and 1085 in a match a few weeks ago with my 223 w/ 75 eld. For the price they have no equal.
