$750 for Rem 700 .308 SPS in B&C stock?

Re: $750 for Rem 700 .308 SPS in B&C stock?

I bought a .308 SPS Varmint w/ a B&C stock on it for $600.00 about a month ago. He threw in the original stock as well. The original owner said it had less than 100 rnds. through it and that he had not shot it with the B&C stock on it. I thought I got a very good deal.

Depends on the B&C stock.

If it is the pillar bedded dura-max or carbelite stock, then no. Talk them down.
If it is the light tactical or varmint medalist with the full length aluminum bedding block, then maybe.

If it is the medalist adjustable stock then definately.

A brand new SPS tactical will cost about 550, a B&C light tactical will cost about 220. So 770 brand new, you KNOW it has only the proof rounds through it.
The seller TELLS you 20 rounds. Why then is he selling it?

As the priceline negotiator says "namby-pamby, lower"

That's what I thought. I have a savage now, but would eventually like to try a Remington since just about EVERY accessory is available for them from a large number of vendors. I believe the rifle is a tactical stock.

What would a "good" price be?
