I am buliding a 7mm-338 lapua imp. Im needing to have ptg make a reamer. Does anyone shoot one or a 338 lapua imp? How tight should I make the neck? If any shoot one is the drawing around or a fired case? My bat action is 6 more months out but would like to have the reamer made so I could get the dies made. Thanks for any help!!!!

i believe he was playing around with one of these a while back but it could of been a 338 norma mag necked down to 7mm
either way he has played with alot of the big stuff necked down and should be able to help you out

give the member here "eddybo" a line , he built one , maybe not the Improved version but I know he had a 7mm-338 lapua somthing

Nope, no 7MM AM, mine is not improved. I did not want to hassle with fireforming. I do have the 270AM and the 338AM and both are like freakin magic, pull trigger animal dies. Kirby has only built those two guns for me, and both are great. Don Geraci used to build most everything for me, now I do it myself, unless I am too busy. If I am too busy Don still gets my work.

I have a 338 Lapua 35 deg imp with a .366 neck that does very well in a 7mm that would be a .312 neck I just built a 7mmX338 35 deg Norma with a .314 neck that is looking very promising and will be back at the range tomorrow for more testing.My 338 Lapua case holds 121 gr h2o to top of neck,(7mm would be less) and the 7X338 Norma 35 deg imp. holds 110 gr. h20 and the 7RUM holds 114.Hope this helps.

Thats so you don't have to turn your necks, you can set up your reamer however you want it from Dave...
