I am picking up a R700 Sendero in 7mm rum. The action has been trued, throat shortened, and a Gentry brake added. It has had 5 rds fired since it was new. What are some good loads for this cartridge? I would like to shoot a 175-180gr bullet but am not opposed to drop to a 160gr. I will be using it to hunt and punch paper. Thanks for any help.

I know mine shoots 94.5grs retumbo w/hornady 154 IB awesome!!! Shot some 168gr vld's in front of 92.5grs of retumbo quite well.

Not alot of following for the 7mm RUM here? Not surprising I guess. If it makes it better, I am picking up the rifle with anticipation of building it into a 300WM or 338 Edge possibly. I am undecided yet if I should invest in the dies and brass for the 7mm and shoot the barrel out or go ahead and just take that barrel off and rebarrel it to what I want. The action has already been trued. Decision decisions.
