I just bought some 7mm 140 VLD Hunting bullets and would like to try them in my 7mm08. Is there any load data out there, or does anyone have some that has worked for you? Thanks!

That is the bullet we found worked best for one of our LR handguns we used when we first started competing at 1000 yard matches shooting steel plates at Rayners. It only had a 15" barrel and we were limited on bullet selection since we were searching for the best bullet with attainable velocities with best tragectory to 1000 yards. With the 140VLD we were able to get 2750fps and it did quite well against longer barreled rifles.
I've always wondered why more haven't used it when they could easily hit 3000fps. Everyone seems to like the heavier bullets but that Berger VLD carried so well it seems to be overlooked. Certain cases are just too small sometimes for the larger bullets and at least for our 15" barrel and the velocities we were able to attain that bullet was perfect.
The load we used was 44gr of IMR4064 with CCI200 primers. We tried others but our best velocity and accuracy was with that combination.
Short clip of my son shooting it at a 400 yard target and putting 3 shots on it that a 50 cent piece could cover.
