Been shooting a friends 7 STW lately and man is that thing flat shooting. Its a sendero with the stainless fluted barrell. No angeled base but still gets to a grand easy. I got that stock on my savage 308 and like it for the money. Hope you enjoy it. If not send it to Forest La, cuz I would love to have it.

I love shooting it so i dont think i'll give it away just yet. I have'nt taken it to a grand yet but i'm gunna try this weekend if the wind will quit for a day

I think shooting in the wind is good. You won't learn much if not, unless you haven't shot it at all and are trying to get good data. That thing is a beast in the wind anyway. My other friend is bringing out his 6.5 STW soon. I can;t wait. I shoot a 6.5-284 and a .260 and they are good in the wind but those STW's are a whole nother catagory

What bipod is it? I have one of those stocks and I'm having a hard time finding a pod to fit it.

It's a Harris,they fit pritty snug but still has a little play to it. A friend of mine has the same setup and said to put in a thin piece of leather to take up the gap,have'nt tryed it yet so i don't know how thin of a piece you'll need.
