Over a year ago I bought a pre-accutrigger savage 110 long action that was missing a safety bedded in a beat up and spray painted choate stock that had a 30" brought 5c heavy varmint barrel on it. Its a 1:9 twist chambered in 7wsm. The barrel is the only thing I plan on keeping from this purchase. It has had around 100 rounds through it and was properly broken in and used for 600yd groups at a local competition. I plan on replacing the action with a trued rem700 or a stiller custom action. I will cut the barrel down to either 24" or 26" since I will need to re-thread it and re camber it for the new action.

Other than that I'm not sure how to set it up. I would like to use it for shooting targets at 1k but would like the option of taking it out hunting. So I dont think I want to carry a 15 lbs. gun.

Please post some pics and lend me advice on ways to set this stick up!

Thanks!

Re: 7wsm hunting/tactical pictures

I think I will most likely true up a rem 700 hundred action and save a little money.

If I were to go with bottom metal what should I go with?
