7wsm same bolt face as 7mm mag?

Is the 7wsm and 300wsm the same bolt face size as 7mm rem mag?

Can I convert a 7mm rem mag long action 700 into a 7wsm or 300wsm without anything more then a barrel change?

also, would the 7wsm or 300wsm work well in a long action or would that just be weird?

yes, yes and yes. No major changes beyond the rebarrel job.

I believe they both use a .540 bolt face so it should work just fine. The long action is a BIG plus with the wsm as you can seat long, use more powder and take advantage of the high BC slugs.

Make sure your smith knows you are seating long--send him a a dummy round so he can chamber appropriately.
