I have been collecting parts for this rifle for an entire year and finally have it complete.

Parts list:

McMillan A5 adjustable stock

Pheonix Reciever

Jewell Trigger

Benchmark 3-groove 9 twist barrel, 28 1/2"

V-Bull DBM

The reamer is Throated for the 180 Berger. The necks on my cases are turned to .014" for a complete clean up. I am doing max load testing for it now, range report soon. I love A5's! Sorry for the poor quality pictures, they were taken from my phone. I textured the stock with some automotive texturing, the pictures don't do it justice but the added 'grip' is real nice. I was also very careful to level the rifle in the stock so the reciever and stock are concentric. The barrel is extra heavy, 1.250" for the first 4" then straight taper to .900" at the muzzle. With the scope and bipod this sucker tips the scales at 17lbs.

Nice heavy-barreled beast! Let us know how she shoots. I've got a 7WSM and am just waiting on primers before I get started loading the 180gr Bergers myself.

Thanks guys. I plan on trying H4831sc with Fed 215's first. My friends 7wsm shoots incredibly accurate with H4350 and Rem 9 1/2 mag primers. I would like 3000fps but I am going for top accuracy on this one so we'll will see what I end up with. Wnroscoe, you shoot a 7x300wsm?

Yes.

H4831 shot great but velocity wasnt there. I also tried the F215's but quickly switched to the WLRs. I then switched to RL-25 and loved it. 66.0 grains gave me 2,920 fps with groups in the .2's at 100 yards and 2" groups at 600 yards. 180 Bergers +.015" to +.020" in the lands.
