Night Vision 80 degree fov PVS15's?!

Has anyone used these things? I just read about them online and they seem almost too good to be true. 80 degrees is insane. Would love to hear some feedback. Thanks!

Sounds like someone added 40+40 and got 80, even though the FOV of the tubes overlap, meaning you don't get a total of 80 degrees.

look it up, it's a recent product. It has double the fov, angularly speaking

Guess you're referring to this, then - and I can't find anything on commercial availability. Some comments on ARF about it having a bad fisheye effect, too.

Just got an email back from NVI saying that they no longer offer the WFOV pvs15 which is either a shame or indicative of some issue in production (like bad fisheye effect lol).

Guess this thread is dead-ish unless anyone can say that the BNVD 51's are game changing, which I don't think they would be because it's not that big of an improvement.
