Sorry I’m a newbie to reloading I just thought when his description said .224 that was a valkyrie sized bullet. I never knew you could shoot a larger caliber bullet out of a smaller caliber barrel, I guess it doesn’t matter when they are only .001 difference.

223 Rem (or Wylde) uses a .224 diameter bullet. As you get into reloading you'll notice that many cartridge names aren't true to measurements, most are rounded up or down to sound good or avoid similarities with existing cartridges.

Tony,
Thank you for the explanation I didn’t know that and now makes a lot more sense. I’m hoping sooner or later to get into reloading if time permits. I buy all factory ammo as I barely have time to shoot. I’m assuming you’re the same Tonythetiger from Brian’s forum? The AR Performance barrel you recommended to me a year or so ago shoots awesome. Thanks for the recommendation.

Huh. I would have never thought you would get to 2600 with that round/barrel combo. Glad there are people like you out there experimenting and posting results. Great work.

I can't tell by listening. Are you shooting with the gas off and then single feed manual charging?

Yup, same one. Glad its working out for you!

I'm a bit confused. Your title says it's a 95gr SMK (which I'm hoping you mean Sierra Match King), but at the end of the video, you are showing a Hornady box and a round that looks like it has a Hornady bullet in it. And as far as I know, Hornady doesn't make a .224 95 gr. bullet.

I did only 2
25.0 and 25.3 of 2000 MR
I gained about 30 fps
brass looked the same.
