I've got an A-2 stock on my LMT MWS and want to take the sling loop off. Since the bottom screw in the butt plate screws into the top of the loop, what is useable to hold the screw in the stock? Anybody done this? Thanks...

A couple choices:
o Take a hacksaw and cut the tab off the sling loop. They are replaceable.
or
o Get a thin nut at the hardware store...a square one might work best. If it's too thick, grind or file it.

In case any one else is pondering the same thing here is another option: KNS A2 Swivel Stud. Midway has it for a buck less.
