I think Bud's was running a Rem 700 SPS-T re-chambered for 300WSM
I'm not sure if they are still out there or not, I would provide you with a link but I deleted my PM's recently and don't have it around anymore. Sorry

I had an ltr in 300 saum reamed to wsm, the velocity loss however put it barely above the 308, kind of a waste of powder IMHO.

I tried, its not worth the time or effort, you will be wasting powder and bullets

95% of the powder burns in the first 3-inches and the amount of velocity loss is actually quite low.

I think the perfect synergy for the 20-inch barrel is the .300WSM. The .308 is old school.
I did consider that idea of cutting a barrel down with the twist I want. It seems the manufacturers do not have the same beliefs that I do
