A bit of house cleaning

Quick update, even though you guys may not yet be fully done with the updates.

Icons at the top of the page are gone on mobile, such as the search button and the drop down menu. You can still touch where the menu button used to be and it will drop down, but then the "sub-icons" such as messages, notifications, etc. aren't there. Same deal, they work if you remember which one went where, but they're not actually there.

Also, the eye symbol that used to indicate a thread you're following is gone, as is the text under a thread title showing which subforum it belongs to. I've attached a few photos showing what I'm getting at.

If it helps, I'm on an iPhone 6S running iOS 10.3.3 (yeah, old, but I never download an update until it's shaken out by others for awhile).

You know what? I gotta say, speaking of the mechanics of it, this is the best looking and working forum I've been a part of. I've lurked on and been a part of probably 20 of the most popular gun and hunting sites. This one looks and works the best of them all.

Not trying to suck anybody's dick, just calling it as I see it.

Agreed, and the continual refinements keep it that way. I was a very infrequent guest during the Scout days. Definitely glad those are over, this place rocks like the good ol' days now!

ETA: I no longer have to rotate my phone to make edits (small detail, I know, but I lock rotation on mine, so not having to unlock it anymore for an edit is nice), and everything is lightning fast now. Schweet!

mobile web site on a smart phone works much better. Not sure why everything needs an APP other than for tracking and personal info.

I'm not nerdy enough to have the true answer to that, but with my experience on mobile devices, an app generally runs a bit quicker and uses less battery than running a site in an actual browser.

Weird regarding the tipping for edit feature. I still gotta. Galaxy S7 Android.
