Lately I have had a interest in older revolvers. I recently came across these two J frames. The stainless revolver is the model 60 and the blued is the model 36. Other than material differences, they are the same revolver. Smith began manufacturing of the Model 36 in the 50's and the model 60 in the mid 60's. According to a little google search, the Model 60 is supposedly the first regular production gun to be manufactured in stainless. Great carry option for a smaller revolver.

I know what you mean.

Just picked up a Model 19 and 25 (45 Colt) that were on consignment at my LGS.

The 25 is just like I one I carried when on the Warrant Squad with my then employer in the late 70s and early 80s.

The 19 is a perfect copy of another I carried as a young policeman before I had the money to buy my first Python.

Both are in pristine condition and I walked out the door for a price I couldn't believe. I even have the original grips for the 25.

I bought my 60 in 1963 on the way to Viet Nam. Maybe it wasn't in production then, but it was in the store in Jackson, MS. Cost $115. Damn lot of money back then. My son has it now. Sure helped me sleep. Better than some pills.
