A fine early winter day....

Went out and put the flags up after having them in for a storm....

Got my new Swedish Army surplus ax from @MK20

Good timing as Im heading out to cut some blow down....

Donned the Raider pants and the relegated to work duty Limmers, Woolrich sweater is all that was necessary at plus or minus 30 degrees and sunny....

Ax exhibits Swedish crowns on the Handle but dont see any forging marks on the steel...

Speaking of Stihl......

Its got to feed the fire pit....

The Stihl rips through the tiny tasks I ask of it......I spend more time cleaning the saw than cutting...

Fired up the Weber....

Tossed on the ribs....

Ribs are smoking so inside to check the Hide news feed and do some restoration on my new Swede ax......hit it with some Pecards and Linseed oil....

I used to rub all my Benjamin and Sheridan air rifle stocks with linseed when I was a kid. Brings back a smell to me!

Got them from At The Front when they were making USMC stuff before the USMC required royalties.

They were having a crazy sale and I grabbed them cheap. They have become default work around the yard pants even though the single pocket in the front drives me nuts - prevents two handed pocket pool.
