A Knife from Aluminum Foil

Its called annealing. They do that with hte high quality steel, and evern silver and copper used in audio cables, to eliminate grain.

What an odd guy... Little farm animal oilers, nothing but handtools until the electric vacuum, and the desire to undo all the work that went into turning aluminum ingots into super thin rolls of foil.

I think it was Beretta that give their apprentices a block of steel and some files to work with for weeks as part of their training program. The fact that this person is making a useless knife is inconsequential to what they know and what they learn from the process.

Clean metal doesn't always need flux to forge weld. That's why his split down the middle. The tube left shit in there that wouldn't let it weld.

Getting aluminum to hold an edge, now that would be a trick!!
