Getting insomnia due to the stress of being a moderator... Is that seriously a problem?

If they are moderating images posted, I can see it being a problem. They aren't exclusively taking down right wing meme frogs. Can find interviews with government employees who worked in departments hunting down sick perverts. Having to review terrible images for prosecution or clues.

Most moderators probably have a hard time forcing their leftist group think, socialist hate and intolerance onto others. It is probably upsetting for them to find out how few people actually support their leftists ideals. They lose a lot of sleep trying to pretend leftist political hoaxes like the Corona are not widely believed by people with IQ's approaching normal. You know........................it was the Russians. When you job is to force group think onto others, it can be tough.

Depends on the group you're moderating. The board that I moderate was around prior to f-book. We've had a few characters over the years, but it's a more settled group overall. Sometimes I'd pull something that i thought was funny as hell, but violated our rules. I think the site owner has banned 2 people in 20 years.

FB has like 2 billion *active* users per day.

Yeah, I'll bet there is some shit on there that would make it hard to sleep.

Back some years ago, I ran a popular forum. It was hosted by pirate4x4 and it was pretty successful. It took a lot to keep most happy and that's all I had to deal with. Pirate4x4 hosted and actually took care of the technical side of the forum.

It's something that you signed up for so I really didn't mind all of the reporting and penis size contests, but there are always a few users who get under your skin. I always tried to treat everyone equally, but you sometimes, that guy has to be that guy.

It can take up a lot of your time, but if you don't like the job, you can always quit.
